Keynote sessie: Implicaties van server virtualisatie

Server virtualization has been adopted in Information Technology at an ever increasing rate.  With the virtualization of critical, tier 1 applications, server virtualization has become prevalent across IT environments.  Moving beyond server virtualization, Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI) are also being piloted or deployed by many companies.  Storage quickly becomes the critical element in virtualized environments and if not addressed correctly, the expenditures for storage can quickly eclipse the capital savings from server virtualization. This talk explains the implications of virtualized environments on storage and what attributes of a storage system are important to meet the virtualized environment requirements.

Over de spreker: As Senior Strategist at Evaluator Group, Randy Kerns brings over 35 years in the computer industry helping storage companies design and develop storage system products and advising technical professionals on storage strategies.
Randy Kerns spent many years in executive level product strategy and design positions at ProStor Systems, Sun, IBM, StorageTek, Fujitsu and Tandem Computers.
